Toolkit Working Group

The OCWC Toolkit Working Group is an informal, collaborative (i.e. "participant-driven") initiative seeking to collect in one place a portable kit of resources that have proven useful in:

  • getting OCW projects off the ground at a variety of institutions
  • upgrading existing projects to be more valuable to users of all types

From tips on making the OCW case to IP management software, what are the necessary implements, and how can we get them into the hands of those who need them most? In what ways will needs differ in different regions? Join the Toolkit Working Group by editing the Participants List below, and contribute the resources that have best served your own OCW project. Or, if you recognize the need for a new tool, collaborate with others to create it!

If you are looking to use the tools this working group has already assembled, please go to the Share page of the OCW Consortium main site. In the left navigation menu you will find kits for addressing various ocw-related needs.

[edit] New Developments

Next Meeting: September 1, 2009 at 10 am US EDST (GMT/UTS -4)

After a bit of a lull in Toolkit Working Group activity, the time has come to evaluate our situation. Which kits need to be updated or expanded? Which new kits shall we assemble in the coming months? I would prefer to have everyone together for one meeting, but if there is a critical mass interested in meeting at 10 pm US EDST (GMT/UTS -4), I can accomodate. Indicate your interest in the later call by adding your name to the list below.

10 pm US EDST (GMT/UTS -4) Participants:
